Overview

Global Great Consumer Fund

Objective

The Global Great Consumer Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital growth.

Fund Description

The Global Great Consumer Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing its net assets in equity securities of issuers that are expected to be beneficiaries of the "Great Consumer" trend in emerging markets and developed markets globally.

Investment Strategy and Process

  • Mirae Asset describes the "Great Consumer" effect as the collective market force of rapidly growing consumption in emerging markets.
  • The Great Consumer investment theme is a burgeoning megatrend in emerging markets created by the newfound purchasing power of the rising middle class in emerging market economies.
  • Mirae Asset sees the Great Consumer investment theme as a long-term, sustainable trend that will be driven by population growth, industrialization, urbanization and income expansion across all emerging economies.
  • The Fund seeks investment opportunities beyond the consumer staples and discretionary sectors by investing across a range of industry sectors that may benefit from increasing consumption.
