Overview

Global Emerging Markets Great Consumer Fund

Objective

The Global Emerging Markets Great Consumer Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital growth.

Fund Description

The Global Emerging Markets Great Consumer Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing its net assets in equity securities (a) of issuers in emerging markets or that are tied economically to emerging markets and (b) of issuers that are expected to be beneficiaries of the "Great Consumer" trend in emerging markets.

Investment Strategy and Process

  • Mirae Asset describes the "Great Consumer" effect as the collective market force of rapidly growing consumption in emerging markets.
  • The Great Consumer investment theme is a burgeoning megatrend in emerging markets created by the newfound purchasing power of the rising middle class in emerging market economies.
  • Mirae Asset sees the Great Consumer investment theme as a long-term, sustainable trend that will be driven by population growth, industrialization, urbanization and income expansion across all emerging economies.
  • Mirae Asset seeks investment opportunities beyond the consumer sector by powerful on-the-ground investment teams in emerging markets.

Sector Allocation as of 03/31/2012

The portfolio holdings and allocations will change and the information provided should not be considered as a recommendation to purchase or sell a particular security. There is no assurance that the securities mentioned remain in the Fund's portfolio or that securities sold have not been repurchased.

Growth of $10,000 as of 03/31/2012

A hypothetical $10,000 investment in the fund's Class A shares on 11/4/10 would have been worth $8,106 on 12/31/11. This does not reflect the 5.75% maximum front-end sales load applicable to Class A shares which, if reflected, would have lowered performance. Assumes reinvestment of dividends and capital gains.

Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Performance for the fund's other share classes would vary.
